A key firm in the NJ market is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its bankruptcy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases, debtor/creditor rights, and preference and fraudulent conveyance litigation.Key Responsibilities:Represent debtors, creditors, trustees, receivers, and assignees in bankruptcy cases (Chapter 7 and Chapter 11).Assist in prosecuting and defending preference and fraudulent conveyance actions.Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses related to bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters.Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on complex legal issues in corporate restructuring and bankruptcy cases.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts to facilitate case progression.Collaborate with the team to manage cases and projects efficiently.Required Qualifications:Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.Admission to the New Jersey State Bar (NY a plus).Strong understanding of bankruptcy law, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 proceedings.2-5 years experience in debtor/creditor rights, corporate restructuring, and/or commercial litigation is highly preferred.
