Job SummaryThe HR Generalist serves as a liaison between management and employees, aligning people with business requirements for skillsets and behaviors. Partnering with local management, regional staff, corporate staff, and the VP/GM will be vital to the role. Administers and executes policies relating to all aspects of Human Resources including payroll practices and employee benefit programs.Job ResponsibilitiesPartners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources and Payroll policies, programs, procedures, laws and government regulationsActs as a resource for employees and managers to ensure their understanding and compliance with benefits and HR policies and regulationsReview applicant process, coordinate interviews and provide updates to hiring managersCoordinate and process new hire paperwork, including offer, drug screening and background checksConducts employee training at various site locations to ensure employees gain an understanding of policies, procedures, benefit plans and enrollment processConduct exit interviews, new employee check-ins to improve retentionCounsel management of potential issues and recommends/implements solutions as appropriateMaintains compliance with Federal and California state regulations concerning employmentReview all personnel changes before processing for payroll or benefits (terminations, job and pay changes, etc.)Maintain personnel files in accordance with federal, state and company rules and regulationsManage all leave of absence requests, disability and unemployment claims and escalate to HR Manager when necessaryTrack and process Education Reimbursement Program, Referral Program, EDD Claims, National Support NoticesAssist the HR Manager with various projectsPrepare and analyze various HR reports on a weekly and monthly basisPlan and support employee engagement initiatives, including monthly and annual eventsWork with leaders and employees to create a positive work environment that promotes company values and purposePromote a diverse and inclusive environment supported by our I&D agendaMaintain communication boards, create and post newsletters/flyersIdentify areas to improve HR processes, efficiency to better support the businessParticipate in the development of the company's plans as a strategic partnerOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as neededJob RequirementsHigh School diploma, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience4+ years of experience in HR Administration Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, in-person and by telephoneStrong organizational, problem-solving, and attention to detailIntermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of Federal and State regulations related to HR, payroll and benefitsOvernight Travel 25% a monthExperience using Workday, Benefitsolver, SuccessFactorsBilingual (Spanish)Bachelor's degreeCompensationBase pay is $30 - $36 per hourWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
