Our team of highly skilled and licensed electricians provides reliable, efficient, and safe electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.The position of Electrical Estimator will be responsible for calculating the estimated costs associated with electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. They will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive pricing on electrical projects.The Electrical Estimator position is responsible for overseeing the entire estimating process on construction projects, including reviewing specifications, calculating costs, coordinating with subcontractors, and preparing comprehensive bids.Duties and Responsibilities:Project Analysis: Thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to understand the scope of work and potential challenges. Cost Breakdown: Develop detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, identifying potential cost drivers and risks. Bid Team Management: Assemble and lead a team of estimators to complete specific project cost calculations, assigning tasks and ensuring accuracy. Subcontractor Solicitation: Contact and manage relationships with subcontractors, soliciting bids and evaluating their proposals. Estimate Preparation: Compile all cost elements into a comprehensive project estimate, including contingencies and profit margins, ready for submission. Client Presentations: Present project estimates to clients, addressing questions and concerns regarding pricing and project scope. Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage project costs Budget Control: Monitor project budgets throughout the pre-construction phase, identifying areas for cost optimization. Software Proficiency: Utilize estimating software to generate detailed cost breakdowns, analyze data, and produce professional bid documents.Qualifications:Journeyman license is a plusExtensive experience in construction estimating, preferably in a leadership roleStrong understanding of construction practices, materials, and industry standardsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with estimating softwareExcellent communication and presentation skills to interact with clients and subcontractorsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesCertification through the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) or the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International (advantageous).Valid driver's license for at least 3 yearsSkilled with diagnostics and troubleshooting complex electrical / mechanical partsFamiliar with basic computer software and hardware10-hour OSHA Card30% travel required to visit sitesCompensation and Benefits:· Compensation of $50,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience· Bonus structure available· Paid Time Off
