Managing Attorney

Dietz, Gilmor & Chazen, an established and progressive California workers' compensation defense law firm, is seeking to hire a Managing Attorney for our San Francisco office. The individual will be responsible for ensuring quality representation of employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in the defense of workers' compensation claims and will supervise a legal team that includes staff attorneys and legal assistants, while maintaining a caseload.Additional management responsibilities include but are not limited to client development, recruiting and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.Desired Qualifications:The ideal candidate is a senior-level attorney with at least five years' experience in workers' compensation defenseA current California Bar membership in good standingExcellent research, communication, and organizational skills, with an ability to thrive in a dynamic environmentStrong Marketing and Business development experienceAbility to develop and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organizationAbility to lead and motivate the team to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and achieve goals Previous management and leadership experience is a plusExperience with MerusCase Management a plusThis position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our firm while having the potential for partnership for the right candidate.Our attorneys enjoy competitive salaries and generous bonus opportunities, a comprehensive benefits package, and a friendly and casual work atmosphere with great work/life balance.
