Business Analyst - Fixed Income / Asset Management

Job Title: Fixed Income Business AnalystHybrid in Newark, NJ - 2 days a week onsiteNo third party corp to corp. Contract to HireWe are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in Fixed Income Asset Management to join our growing team. This individual will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders (portfolio managers, analysts, quants) and the technology team, ensuring that requirements are understood and met to support business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team.Support the implementation of fixed income front office systems and tools, ensuring alignment with business needs.Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business expectations.Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, and process flowsWork with the project manager and cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within scopeQualifications:Experience:3-10 years of experience in a Business Analyst role within the financial services industry, with a focus on fixed income asset managementSkills:Strong understanding of fixed income products, including bonds, derivatives, and other related instrumentsProven ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specificationsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and project management toolsEducation:A degree in Computer Science, Math, Finance, Economics, or a related fieldCFA, FRM, or related certifications are a plus.Desired Skills & Experience:Experience with portfolio management systems (e.g., Aladdin or similar platformsFamiliarity with data management tools and reporting systems in an asset management context.Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting fixed income asset managementThis role offers a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with key stakeholders in the fixed income space while driving technological and business solutions.
