We are hiring a Forensic Biologist III (534391) to support the GFJC's Forensic Biology/DNA training and technical assistance programs. The position performs the following activities:Provides technical expertise in the area of forensic biology through activities including but not limited to design and delivery of scientific experiments; instrumentation and materials readiness activities; and quality assurance activities. Provides support for technical content development and assists in instruction delivery. Conducts research, testing, and evaluation activities and formal presentation of findings as requiredThe ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:Possess a Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, biology, forensic sciences or related field with five (5) years of experience in a forensic laboratory OR Master's Degree in biochemistry, biology, forensic sciences or related field with three (3) years of forensic laboratory experience.Eligibility for Security Clearance issued by the Department of Defense.Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and chemistries.Knowledge in DNA extraction and amplification.Working experience in providing both In-person and virtual Forensic Biology training to military personnel and DNA analysts.Proficiency in establishing and enforcing laboratory safety protocols and standards.Annual salary: $65,000 to $75,000Qualified individuals, please visit click on the blue "Prospective Employees" button and enter 534391 into the search bar to locate and apply.
