We offer a competitive wage and benefit package that includes salary, health insurance with employer HSA match, paid time-off and holidays, company cell phone and laptop, life insurance, 401k with employer match and more!Qualifications:3-5 years of mechanical estimating experiencePossess strong understanding of mechanical systems design and installationSkilled in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documentsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailPossess excellent written and oral communication skillsComputer knowledge that includes Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with estimating programsExcellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle and manage a variety of tasksJob Functions:Determine scope of work and contents of the project estimatePartner with subcontractors and vendors to obtain and calculate specific costs of labor, equipment, and material to prepare estimatesMaintain positive relationships with engineers, architects, subcontractors, contractors, and vendors, suggesting adjustments as needed to the scope of projectsResearch previous cost data to prepare bids and assist in the development of guidelines for future estimatesAnalyze awarded and lost estimates to identify anomalies and opportunities for future improvementPreferred Certificates/Licenses/Education:College degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, construction management, or building science preferred and/or 5-10 years of experience in the Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing (or related) industries. Additional trade school certification or internship experience is also beneficial.
