Position Summary:The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving, production planning and scheduling, and inventory management/warehouse departments. The Supply Chain Manager will develop and implement supply chain strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs for the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient operations, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.Production Planning & Scheduling Responsibilities:· Lead strategy and implement planning and scheduling software to reduce manual efforts, optimize production schedules and inventory management· Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain and production processes· Monitor and report on KPIs related to planning and scheduling performance· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain plans with business objectives· Lead and develop the master planner and scheduler· Know the fundamentals of planning and scheduling across multiple sitesInventory Management/Warehouse Responsibilities:· Oversee inventory management and controls in warehouse operations· Monitoring inventory levels and managing stock replenishment· Developing and implementing detailed inventory tracking systems/ software tools to track supply chain inventories across multiple sites· Analyzing sales data and forecasting future inventory needs to optimize stock levels· Drive cost and inventory reduction strategies· Working with cross-functional partners to optimize warehouse layout and improve inventory controls· Conduct company's annual physical inventory counts for audits from start to finish· Lead and develop Operations Specialist· Share best practices with Branchburg warehouse teamShipping and Receiving Responsibilities:· Oversee logistics and building partnerships with key transportation partners· Support contract negotiations with key transportation partners· Ensure Shipping and Receiving team is cross-trained, following department SOPs and safety protocols· Compliance with all regulations/certificates needed to ship via air and land· Develop cost-effective strategies for shipping processes and route optimization across both sites· Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, transportation costs, and customer satisfaction· Lead and develop the Addison Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and Shipping & Receiving Coordinators· Coach and provide feedback to team on performance management· Share best practices with Branchburg logistics teamTeam Leadership:· Build and lead high-performing teams that achieve operational and strategic goals· Apply performance management processes and conduct leadership reviewsQualifications:· Bachelor's degree in operations management, business or equivalent and 5 to 7 years of previous operations management experience in a food manufacturing plant· Minimum 2 years' experience in managing, supervising, coaching and developing staff· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities· Proficiency in ERP software; SAGE X3 is preferred· Leadership and team management experience· Knowledge of industry trends and best practicesDisclaimerThe job description is only a summary of the typical functions of the job, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks, and duties.
