We are seeking passionate, self-starters to join our Customer Excellence team!Position Overview The Field Service Technician will play a critical role in our commitment to setting up our customers for success as they begin their journey with Metron. The Field Service Tech will be responsible for traveling to job sites to install equipment, troubleshoot problems as needed, and clean up the job after completion. We are looking for motivated individuals with a great attitude who are willing to learn and accept direction, have attention to detail and take attendance seriously. The position will travel to customer sites to provide a variety of product support while contributing to customer satisfaction through improved system performance. High performing systems and happy customers will lead to good references and more sales orders. The field service group will serve both the utilities and real estate sales channels. Metron will supply excellent training and certification in OSHA Confined Space Program.This role will be located in Minneapolis, MN and travel required around that region.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and maintain water meters, registers and monitoring equipment at Mobile Home Parks, Commercial buildings, Multi-Family properties and Schools in the Indianapolis areaTravel to other surrounding cities and states to install and maintain equipmentProvide customer service to explain our system, products, services and technologyUpdate service requests with details of each jobMaintain inventory of tools and equipmentDiagnoses and troubleshoot issues in the fieldAnalyze water usage dataOnboard and supervise contract install crewQualifications Reliable transportationHigh School Diploma or equivalentLike to work outdoorsAbility to work unsupervisedAbility to lift 50 lbs.Problem solving and diagnostic skillsKnowledge of trade specific tools for installations and correct use of equipmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsTech savvy with basic computer Skills (Excel and Word)Some travel required- up to 50% (all expenses paid)Background and Credit CheckPreferred Experience (not required):Construction or Plumbing backgroundWater Meter knowledgeIrrigation system experienceHVAC training or certificationBenefits and CompensationEstimated salary range: $22-$30 per hour based on experience + bonus opportunityCompetitive compensation package with Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company match, catered lunches daily, a pet-friendly environment and paid time off.Company Culture and MissionMetron is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where diversity, equity, and inclusion drive innovation.
