Electrician

Job SummaryThe Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair of the electrical equipment. 90% of the work is inside!The successful candidate will be a critical member of the team, ensuring the successful execution of our product to our customers. Electricians work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with occasional holidays, weekends, and over-time when necessary.Safety is the most important part of all jobs, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Core ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installationsInstall, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical componentsTest electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistanceMaintain, repair, install and test switchgear, VFD's, motor starters, disconnects, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and protective relaysMaintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, and UPS systemsUtilize a preventive maintenance program to complete tasks and keep maintenance recordsRead complex schematics, wiring diagrams and shop drawings for the purpose of installation, troubleshooting, and repairing of major systems and minor subsystems and componentsConnects, disconnects, and tags out equipment and circuits for test or repair and safety of personnel and equipmentPerforms installations in compliance with the national electrical code.Performs basic mechanical repairs as requiredMaintains shop and storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.Maintains the safe and efficient use of materials, tools, test equipment and personal safety and all others working in the vicinity.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
