Job Title: School PsychologistLocation: Oak Lawn, ILJob Type: Full-TimeWe are s seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team for SY 24-25. In this role, you will provide critical support to students, parents, and staff, helping to create a positive and inclusive educational environment.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability, physical demands and working conditions required of this position.Demonstrate support for the Mission, Vision, and Goals of the Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123Uphold the established Board of Education policies, regulations, and administrative proceduresDemonstrate thorough knowledge of child and adolescent development and psychopathologyDisplay awareness of governmental regulations and of resources available through the school/district and familiarity with resources external to the districtFlexibility to manage responsibilities across multiple buildings and programsActively participate as a member of the special education team in evaluating students and determining disabilities when case studies are necessaryParticipate in domain and evaluation conferencesCommunicate and cooperate with colleagues, students, parents, and the community as needed to meet professional standardsMaintain and improve professional competenceAssess the academic, functional, social-emotional, and cognitive strengths and needs of students using review of records, observation, interviews, and formal and informal testsConsult with parents and staffTake a leadership role in facilitating the Multi-Tier System of Support (MTSS) processMaintain appropriate written recordsParticipate in meetings and perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Education or designee in accordance with the contract and Board of EducationUtilize technology to promote learning, creativity, collaborationAbility to sit/stand for prolonged periods of timeRegular attendance and/or physical presence at the jobQualifications:Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with School Psychologist endorsementExperience as a school psychologist is preferred but not requiredOur team at Schoolforce appreciates our unique responsibility of providing an equal learning opportunity for all students- we hope to transform a broken educational system.
