Systems Administrator II

LaSalle Network is partnering with a nationwide manufacturing company based in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, who is looking to add a Window Systems Administrator to their team. This role would be focused on overseeing, maintaining, and securing the IT systems and infrastructure of the company, primarily to ensure that the organization's systems operate securely, efficiently, and reliably to meet the business requirements. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and requires the ability to be on-site 2-3 days per week in Chicagoland, or the west side of Michigan. Systems AdministratorResponsibilitiesSupervise and maintain IT infrastructure and networks to achieve optimal performance and availabilityImplement best practices to ensure system security and integrityMonitor system performance, apply updates/patches, and conduct preventative maintenanceManage patch management, log monitoring, and troubleshooting to minimize disruptionsProvide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and address escalation ticketsDeploy and manage hardware (PCs, laptops, printers) and virtual/physical serversConduct hardware and software installations, including account setup, change management, and planned maintenanceLead and participate in IT projects to introduce systems, solutions, and new technologies aligned with business needsCollaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement upgradesSystems AdministratorRequirements:3+ years of experience in IT administration, network engineering, or related rolesProficiency in Windows administration, including Windows 10 & 11, Server 2022, Azure, AWS, Office 365, file storage, and print servicesStrong skills in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy managementFamiliarity with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and IntuneExperience with server virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-VExtensive knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless networksUnderstanding of Identity Management Systems like OKTAKnowledge of network protocols, hardware, and softwareExperience with Cybersecurity tools and protocolsPreferred Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+Ability to manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, pay attention to detail, and quickly learn new skillsAdaptability and flexibility in handling new challenges If you are interested in this position and meet the qualifications, please apply today!
