New commercial leasing associate opportunity with a real estate boutique (Manhattan)We are working with several of the named partners of a boutique firm in Manhattan. They are looking to add a mid- to senior-level associate with significant commercial leasing experience.They are currently 8 attorneys, across transactional and litigation matters.The partners have varied backgrounds, including stints as associates in multiple AmLaw 100 firms.They represent individuals, businesses, condos, coops, and banks in all aspects of the acquisition, sale, leasing and financing of commercial, and residential properties.The leasing work is broad, covering office, industrial and retail properties throughout the greater New York City area.Midtown Manhattan office; 3 days per week in the office.The firm has a 1650 billable hours requirement to be in good standing.Base salary is expected to be in the $210k - $250k range but it all depends on seniority and experience. There will be a year-end bonus as well and the firm also offers 15% origination credit even for associates who bring in clients. That's 15% of all collections"”on your billings and everyone else's billings for that client.It is not an up-or-out structure like many larger firms.As part of a small team, you may be asked to help out on some broader real estate transactions. However, the focus of this role is commercial leasing, which plays a significant part in driving the firm's revenue.Candidates must have a U.S. JD, U.S. work authorization and the NY bar, and either3-5 years of law firm experience with a sophisticated real estate group, with a heavy focus on commercial leasing (NYC office leasing in particular), OR6-8 years of experience with a real estate group including the equivalent of 3+ years' leasing experience.If you meet the above criteria, are passionate about your work and wish to join a firm that is in growth mode, please send along your resume!
