Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a well-established personal injury law firm in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant / Litigation Secretary to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in personal injury litigation, particularly catastrophic injury cases. The position offers a hybrid work schedule after an initial in-office training period.The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while working closely with attorneys and clients.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, format, and file legal documents (complaints, motions, discovery, trial documents, etc.) in state and federal courtsCalendar hearings, depositions, deadlines, and other case-related eventsDraft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and discovery responsesCoordinate and manage communication with clients, experts, and opposing counselAssist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, organizing case files, and preparing witness listsHandle administrative duties such as e-filing, maintaining case files (both digital and physical), and managing attorney schedulesConduct legal research and assist with case development as neededQualifications:5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Litigation Secretary in a personal injury firmStrong knowledge of California court rules and e-filing systems (state and federal)Proficiency in legal case management software (e.g., Clio, Filevine, or similar) and Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience assisting with trial preparation is highly preferredBilingual in Spanish is a plus but not requiredCompensation & Benefits:Competitive pay based on experienceHybrid work schedule (remote flexibility after training)Opportunity for full-time hire with benefitsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
