Technical Performance Supervisor or ManagerDirect hire opportunityPay Range: Supervisor 75k-90k Manager 90k-110KEach are Bonus eligible Location: Burnsville Minnesota 55306Our client is a long-standing contract spray dryer serving food and nutraceutical market segments. Their customers range from small companies to Fortune 50 food companies, west coast to east coast!We are seeking a Supervisor and/or Manager level candidate to join the food manufacturing team and nutraceutical market segments to build the organization's technical capabilities.Responsibilities:Assess company performance, procedures, work flow documents, run performance, QA standards and failures, company training, and go-to market approach. Develop and prioritize areas for potential improvement.Remain up-to-date and current with industry best practices to seek opportunities to enhance companies performancePrep for each upcoming run - check for alignment of equipment status, operator training, raw material availability, and Process Control Parameters (PCP) with the teamSupport CAPEX projects from issue and opportunity assessment, supplier options, implementation, documentation, training, and evaluation.Support investigation of quality incidents, using a 5 Whys and CAPA approach.Support QA and Maintenance in their problem-solving and improvement effortsServe a management role when it comes to overseeing high risk runs that often require 24/7 management presence.Serve as back-up Operations Manager, as needed.Lead and document internal work and internal team related to new customer, new product opportunities, assessing and implementing customer requested changesEducation/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Advanced Certifications in Food Processing, Quality Management, or related areas are a plusMinimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within food manufacturing, with hands-on expertise in spray drying technology preferably in the production of food powders.Experience with optimizing production processes and improving efficiency in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and other food safety regulations.Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to spray dryingThis job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
