This role manages and serves as the primary point of contact and subject-matter expert on licensing, permits, regulatory requirements and compliance for all restaurant operational licenses/permits (e.g. Alcoholic Beverage License, Business License, Food Service Permit, Sales and Use Tax Permit, Alarm Permit and Public Assembly Permit of new and existing restaurants). Ensure procurement and maintenance of restaurant licenses and permits through partnerships with internal and external cross functional teams.Manage and maintain all operating permits including alcohol, food service, entertainment, and outdoor diningManage and maintain existing restaurants' operational licenses utilizing a web-based licensing system and reportsResearch and manage timely procurement of renewing restaurant operational licenses, manager registrations and Happy Hour laws by working closely with government agencies, and OperationsManage license registration for General Managers with state and local authoritiesIn concert with supervisor, monitor trends and changes in the regulatory environment (i.e. laws, ordinances, etc.) and assesses the impact on the Company; coordinates with internal business partners to implement change when necessaryEnsures awareness of licensing violations and compliance; oversees penalties (e.g. fines), suspensions and any other regulatory requirements that may be imposed.Collaborate with internal legal team, and marketing and insurance brokers regarding special events and special projects and ensure due diligenceEnsure all internal control documentation (in addition to department procedures) is up to date, operating effectively and satisfies all legal requirements.RequirementsMust have proven ability to work under deadlines and pressure including strong time management and prioritization skillsWork independently with minimal supervision and/or oversight and be a self-motivatorAbility to influence others without having formal authorityHave cross functional knowledge of legal entities and corporate ownershipFully committed to providing the highest possible standards of customer service and supportExperience working with licensing databaseStrong research capabilities; ability to investigate issues, compare alternative courses of action and move to decision-makingAbility to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.Strong computer skills that include the Microsoft office suiteStrong oral and written communication skillsGeneral legal experienceParalegal a +
