Position SummaryParalegal will assist attorneys in various stages of complex energy, power and infrastructure transactions, including preparing and organizing documents, ordering and reviewing lien searches and drafting, reviewing and filing UCC financing statements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Draft correspondence and documentation under attorney supervisionAssist with due diligence matters by organizing and reviewing documentsGather, organize and maintain precedent collectionsAssist with reviewing collateral documentationPerform lien searches with detailed reviewPrepare, distribute and collect signature pagesOrganize and assemble transaction documentsDraft and review UCC financing statementsObtain charter documents and good-standing certificates from the Secretary of State in applicable jurisdictionsAssist attorneys with pre-closing and closing transactions, including preparation of closing setsMaintain and organize client documents and filingsQualifications/Position RequirementsExperience with corporate service providers' UCC platformsAbility to manage a varied workload, meet deadlines and work well under pressureMust be punctual and reliableProficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other applications as neededStrong interpersonal skillsMust be able to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff, demonstrating strong teamwork and a positive attitudeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to proofread typed material for typographical spelling and grammatical errorsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailEnsure confidentiality of all the Firm's and clients' documentation and informationEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree with a strong academic record is required. Minimum 3 plus years' experience preferredCompensationThe expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 - $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, anticipated assignment, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
