QA Test Lead - hybrid

Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Test Lead for this contract opportunity is responsible for testing applications within a specific functional domain (Customer, Transmission and Distribution, Corporate applications, or a particular technology stack). They are a key member of project and program teams using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. The Test Lead must have extensive knowledge of testing and quality assurance tools, methodologies, and all phases of the systems development life cycle, including experience with automation tools.Hybrid: Wed and Thursday onsiteRequired Qualifications for Position:Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science required, or equivalent experience5 to 7+ years of in-depth knowledge and experience in project work, process management, and quality assuranceExperience working with distributed teamsExtensive knowledge and experience with Testing Tools: Tricentis qTest and JiraProven track record of leading strategic projects or the test function combined with the ability to execute at tactical project-level activities and tasksDemonstrable experience as a change agent having effectively implemented change in large cross-functional organizationStrong written and communication skillsAbility to work with ambiguitySelf-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, matrixed, fast-paced environmentDeep understanding of quality assurance and testing practices within the SDLCBrings an awareness of current market trends around tools and best practicesPreferred Additional Qualifications for PositionKnowledge and experience of Requirements and Testing Tools: Tricentis qTest, JIRAKnowledge and experience of Performance Testing: OpenText LoadRunner (LRE) Performance CenterKnowledge and experience of Automation Testing: Tricentis Tosca, Gherkin, Jenkins, PostmanKnowledge and experience with SQL codingKey Responsibilities Include:Facilitating the creation of test plans across functional and technical teams.Developing test scenarios and anizing technical capabilities, processes, and personnel for manual and automated testing.Maintaining reusable test scripts.Tracking quality assurance metrics to meet or exceed PMO addition to the skills required for a test lead working in a traditional waterfall project, a test lead or engineer in an Agile team should be competent in test automation, test-driven development, acceptance test-driven development, white-box, black-box, and experience-based testing.Essential FunctionsEnsures testing processes are in alignment with PMO methodology and QA standardsBrings an awareness of current market trends around tools and best practicesUnderstands the QA framework and implements QA templates effectively
