We've been successful in this unique business for over 30 years and we continue to advance our technology and business processes to remain years ahead of what our competition is able to offer.Job Overview:As the Payroll Administrator with ABC Legal Services, you will work closely with the HR Team to process bi-monthly payroll and maintain personnel files for over 400 employees across multiple states.Key Responsibilities:Payroll Authority: Enter pay detail and reimbursements into UltiPro HRIS systemEnter rate increases once specified approvals have been obtainedAuthority to resolve payroll issues within established guidelinesHRIS Administration:Input new hires, personnel changes into the systemInput rate changes after confirming proper authorization from field managementProcess terminations in systemProcess wage garnishments and withholding ordersAuditing payroll reports prior to transmission of informationMaintain Personnel and System Records: Keep employee records and computer records updated with current employee information, i.e. rates, W4 status, benefit status, address or telephone numbers, etc.Up-keep of I-9 documentation in filesPerform manual update of vacation accruals for those employees working in more than one department during a pay cycleComplete employment verification and return to specific agenciesMulti State Reporting: Complete all multi work site reports for assigned geographical regionResponding to outside inquiries from state agencies requiring payroll informationCommunicating to our outside unemployment vendorQualifications:Minimum 2 years relevant Payroll/HR experience with a mid to large sized company (500+ employees)Knowledge of multi-state payroll (including CA) and experience applying unique tax ratesKnowledge of wage withholding orders and garnishmentsWorking knowledge of ExcelExcellent client service and communication skillsDesire to work in a team-oriented environmentAbility to work independently in a time sensitive environmentExperience running payroll with little to no assistance a plusPossess sound decision-making skills and ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment with specific deadlinesWe know that a company's success starts with its employees.
