Job Title: Construction ManagerDepartment: Construction & Project ManagementLocation: Boise, ID Reports To: Project ManagerEmployment Type: Contract: 8 monthsPosition Overview:We seek an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate the construction of Air Separation Units (ASU), Nitrogen Generators, and other industrial gas facilities. The Construction Manager (CM) will strictly adhere to the project scope, schedule, budget, and HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) standards. The CM will act as the primary on-site authority, fostering collaboration between contractors, clients, and internal teams.Key Responsibilities:Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):Implement and monitor adherence to the site-specific HSE Program.Enforce the use of personal protective equipment and site safety regulations.Lead HSE coordination among contractors and construction disciplines.Suggest continuous improvements to site safety and environmental practices.Collaborate with HSE organizations, client representatives, emergency services, and security.Manage the work permit system, including critical lift permits.Assist in incident investigations and reporting (accidents, near misses, etc.).Construction Management:Ensure compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget targets.Review and analyze sub-contractor reports (weekly/monthly).Conduct regular site inspections focusing on HSEQ, quality, and cost control.Chair daily meetings with contractors for coordination and issue resolution.Verify and document acceptance of contractor work; manage punch lists.Oversee cost tracking and collaborate with the Project Manager on BOQs.Facilitate smooth transitions from construction to commissioning.Prepare internal site audits and manage change orders with the Project Manager.Professional & Daily Tasks:Identify and resolve engineering or construction deficiencies on-site.Issue and close out work permits daily.Review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) from contractors.Oversee site deliveries: inventory, inspect, and verify.Maintain a strong on-site presence to enforce HSEQ and QA/QC standards.Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.Complete daily reports, including:Contractor headcountsActive and completed work scopesMilestone trackingHSE/QAQC issuesRequired Qualifications:5-10 years of progressive construction experience with supervisory roles.Strong understanding of Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical construction.Proven experience leading large construction teams (up to 75 craft workers).Degree preferred (Mechanical, Construction Management, Oil & Gas, Electrical, Architecture) but not required.Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; ability to navigate Navisworks or similar software.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.Ability to travel and work at various project sites across the U.S.Drug test and background check required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Air Separation Units (ASU) or Bulk Industrial Gas facilities.Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.Power plant or refinery experience, as well as heavy mechanical and civil experience, is preferred.
