Savannah Riverboat Cruises is a symbol of historic River Street's charm and has grown steadily over the past 25 years.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site Restaurant Manager role located in Savannah, GA at Savannah Riverboat Cruises. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing staff, handling hiring processes, maintaining communication with the team, and overseeing food & beverage services.Essential Duties & Reasonability:Do a daily walk-through, ensuring "show-ready" condition and all equipment is functioning properlyComplete checklist, including stocking on the boat with products and setups of all barsSupport management for all Public Cruise events and CharactersDirectly manage onboard crew during special events as neededInteract with and support the Sales team to maximize revenue stream and fulfill guest expectationsMonitor regular cleaning and organization of all bars and storage areasDirectly supervise the Event staff, offering proactive communication and supportive feedback, with the goal to teamwork, crew development, and guest service as the top prioritiesAssist and support the hiring of F&B crews, as well as training to the Savannah Riverboat experiences and standardEnsure weekly and quarterly inventories are completed accurately, timely, and efficientlyAssis with beverage program development, purchasing, training, and implementationEnsure proper cash handling procedures are being adhered to by all crewAdhere to safe sanitary handling of all food & beverage productsCorrect any employee behaviors that are not supportive of the Savannah Riverboat CompanyDocument all staff/team interactions and provide counseling, when necessary, with HR guidanceSupport the onboarding Operations team with all safety requirementsAdditional duties assignedRequirements & Qualifications:Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and OutlookKnowledge of POS systemsCatering/Restaurant backgroundPurchasing and costingPrevious Management experienceComputer skillsCulinary/Hospitality/Management training preferredFamiliar with the ABC laws and practicesFood and wine knowledge with emphasis on fine dinning preferredHands on ManagerTips CertifiedStanding, bending, stooping, and lifting up to and including 60 lbs.Benefits:401(k)Employee discountFlexible schedulePaid time offPaid training
