We promote a safe, collaborative, and inclusive work environment with opportunities for growth and continuous learning. The Role: We're seeking a climbing arborist to join our team. A crucial part of our Tree Care division, the Climber role is all about teamwork and exemplifying the ANSI standards to deliver quality tree care safely, smoothly, and efficiently. This role is passionate about specializing in the care of trees, woody shrubs, and vines through pruning, training, planting, maintenance and removals.Compensation Range:$27.50 - $35 hourly pay based on qualifications and experienceBenefits & Perks: Healthcare benefits(medical, dental, and vision), employer match retirement program, PTO for vacation, holidays, & sick leave, education & gear allowance, monthly stipend Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:15am/7:30am to 4pm, occasional overtime and weekend workResponsibilitiesServe as both climber and ground crew depending on job site needsOperate tree care equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinderCollaborate on planning site setups and jobs; support job site and work zone setupCommunicate clearly with ground crew and workers aloftPerform rigging and knot tyingMake pruning decisions with a focus on tree biologyAssist with cleanup at job sites and the yard, clearing debris, and maintaining a tidy workspaceConduct routine equipment maintenanceLiaise with clientsMaintain daily recordsQualifications2+ years experience in arboriculture, including previous climbing experienceValid driver's license required; truck-driving experience in NYC a plusAbility to lift 40 lbs or more and sustain full days of physically active labor outdoors in all weather conditionsKnowledge of tree biology, pruning techniques, and ANSI standardsFamiliar with ANSI guidelines and PPE protocols, including chipper safety, stump grinding, and chainsaw useStrong time management and punctualityCollaborative team player, clear communicator, and proactive problem solver with ability to work well independentlyPassion for ethical, safe tree careISA Certification preferredFirst Aid/CPR certification preferredIf you're interested in this role but don't meet all the qualifications, we still encourage you to apply!Equal Opportunity Employer: We are committed to building a diverse workforce and provide equal employment opportunities to all.
