Chief Construction Inspector $57,921 - $78,989 annuallyEden Prairie, MNExamples of work for this specific vacancy include but are not limited to:Acts as Chief Inspector on complex multi-phase or multi-operational projects, reporting to and working under the general guidance of a project engineer/project supervisor to ensure successful completion of projects.Leads inspection crew on a complex multi-phase or multi-operational project coordinating personnel and work assignments.Directs materials testing and performs occasional sampling and material testing in the field, analyzes test results and assures materials meet MnDOT specifications to secure certification of a construction project and determine the impact of test results and make recommendations related to materials, structural integrity for roadway and/or bridge construction projects.Performs highly complex inspection activities, monitors project progress, and assures all inspected work is accomplished in accordance with contract requirements.Performs complex documentation to record quantity and quality of materials and completes required reports in accordance with contract requirements.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSFour (4) years of experience performing Contract Administration (roadway and/or bridge construction) activities or related activities.Note: A two-year Civil Engineer Technology Degree or Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent may substitute for the one year of experience listed.Valid Class D Driver's License Required Certifications:Aggregate Production Tester Grading and Base Tester Grading & Base InspectorBituminous Street InspectorConcrete Field TesterConcrete Field InspectorBridge Construction InspectorSignals and lightingErosion/Sediment Control Construction Site Management CertificationADA Construction CertificationAPPLY ONLINE BY 3/7/2025:Go to "Search open positionsEnter the Job Opening ID "84187" in the Keywords search box and click "Click on the Job Title to view the job postingClick "Apply for JobWhen prompted for your Referral Source, please list: social media - LinkedIn.Only applicants received on mn.gov/careers will be considered.
