POSITION TITLE: PPAP CoordinatorRev. 01/2025 REPORT TO: Quality ManagerPOSITION SUMMARY:The PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) Coordinator is responsible for ensuring customer and company quality requirements are met. This will include preparation and review of PPAP documentation, responding to customer requirements for any customer mandated quality initiatives related to PPAP process, and interacting with Inspectors, Engineering, Production, and customers as needed. May perform other duties as assigned by the Quality engineer or Quality Manager. Responsibilities PPAP Management (70% of the time)• Performs, maintains, and submits PPAP's, to assure builds meet the drawing and the specifications of the customer. • PPAP's to include PFMEA, Control Plan, Dimensions, Print notes, PSW, Product Specs, Ballooned Print, Pictures, CPK's, MSA and performance test. • Creates 1st piece inspection folders per Control plan as required. • Verification of supplier PPAP's and maintains traceability between supplier PPAP's, and customer PPAP's • Uses supplier portals to submit PPAP's and Deviations. • Updates and maintains PPAP log in an accurate and timely manner • Performs PPAP readiness process runs.• Performs Annual Recertification per Customer Specific Requirements. Audit Support (20% of the time)• Performs internal processes Audits.• Performs random internal production & product Audits. • Works closely with Manufacturing supervisors and other cross-functional team members to address customer issues. Document Control (10% of time)• Manages production quality gauging processes and gauge Work Instructions. • Processes documents for approval and ensure compliance with IATF / ISO requirements. • Ensures accurate and timely release of all documents. • Supports Engineering with customers request for Corrective Action, 8D, 5Why, Fishbone. • Reviews, sorts, manages, reports on data as required. • Performs other duties as assigned.Specific Skills required:• Requires good judgement, sound decisions, and sequencing of events• Experience with computer skills and Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Excel• Ability and understanding of how to use all inspection equipment, including load testers, visual Keyence system, tensile tester, and torque testing• Must possess skills to read and understand blueprints, and ability to apply math including decimals and fractions to interpret data.• In-depth knowledge of SPC, geometrical dimensioning, tolerancing, measuring tools and gauges.• Capacity to read and write English, follow written instructions and be able to explain Quality process to others. Education Required:Minimum associate's degree in quality field or equivalent coursework with study in blueprint reading, SPC, and IATF 19646. Prefer 2 to 4 years' experience in quality function within the fabrication industry.
