The Scalo Companies are headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA with an office in Columbus, OH.Position SummaryThe Roofing Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing commercial roofing forepersons to ensure safe and efficient roof system installations that meet company and customer standards. This role includes fostering teamwork, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer service resulting in efficient and professional roof system installation. The Field Supervisor has Profit and Loss, Quality and Safety responsibilities for all assigned projects.Job Responsibilities:Visit job sites daily to supervise commercial roofing forepersons and field teamsProvide ongoing performance feedback and training in safety and efficiencyAssist forepersons with crew leadership and managementEnsure understanding of contract information and track labor hours against production goalsSchedule materials and deliveries, minimizing waste and anticipating shortagesMonitor the quality of installations and manage subcontractorsEngage with customers to address questions and concernsSchedule regular updates with customers regarding project progressVerify customer satisfaction and manage warrantiesReview plans and conduct pre-job planning, including safety plansEnsure crews have necessary information and instructions for job completionInvestigate incidents and deliver relevant documentation to the officeParticipate in review meetings with project managersDemonstrate commitment to professional growth and teamworkOffer expertise and assistance to team membersPerform additional duties as requiredJob Qualifications:Proven experience in roof system installation with the ability to train othersAbility to read and interpret architectural plans and specificationsDetail-oriented with a focus on quality assuranceStrong understanding of production goals and job budgetingExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiencesProficient in math calculations relevant to roofingFamiliarity with technology, including computers, smartphones, and tabletsKnowledge of OSHA standards and ability to identify unsafe conditionsStrong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple schedulesEnglish fluency requiredMust possess or be willing to obtain OSHA 30-hour cardPossess a valid driver's licensePhysical Requirements:Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use hands for various tasksVision capabilities may include close visionFrequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and using hand tools and power toolsMust perform essential job functions safely and consistently in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standardsSalary: $60,000 - 70,000 per yearBenefits:Profit Improvement Incentive15 Days of Paid Time Off and 7 paid Company holidays a yearHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCompany-paid life insurance401(k) with company matchShort and Long-Term Disability Insurance optionsHealth Savings Account with company contributionEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)
