Certified Payroll Specialist Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWeekly and monthly Certified Payroll/Labor Compliance (CPR)Approvals and tracking of Subcontractor CPRs submitted for projects.Communication with Owners/Subcontractors on CPR requirements and submissions for duration of prevailing wage jobs.DAS 140/DAS 142 filingsPerform the weekly payroll cycle of union employees for Joint Venture CompaniesBackup for main company payroll for union and nonunion employeesWeekly/Monthly/Quarterly submission of Federal and State taxes for JV payrollsBackup for main company submission of Federal and state taxesEnsuring compliance with all garnishment and support orders on JV PayrollsRespond promptly to payroll inquiries from employees and outside agencies.Creating and distributing various reports for management.BENEFITS:· Health Insurance (Medical/Dental/Vision)-our company covers 80% of the healthcare cost for our employees and their dependents. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEThe requirements listed below are representative of characteristics and demonstrated capabilities sought to perform this job successfully.Prefer a minimum of 3 to 8 years Payroll experience, preferably related to the construction industry and prevailing wage.Prefer a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience with Labor Compliance reporting, preferably related to the construction industry.COMPUTER SKILLSProficient in Microsoft 365, Internet, MS Teams.
