This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.Required Qualification:Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Hartford, CT or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to the sites on need basis.Experience in DevOps, Azure.Preferred Qualification:7+ years of software engineering experience in DevOpsBuilding and setting up new development tools and infrastructureUnderstanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developersWorking on ways to automate and improve development and release processesTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing resultsEnsuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsIdentifying technical problems and developing software updates and 'fixes'Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedPlanning out projects and being involved in project management decisionsExcellent team player, ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadershipExcellent pull request review skills and attention to detailStrong technical, hands-on, experience to support development, automated testing, infrastructure, and operationsProficient with Git and Git workflowsBuild tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experienceDevelop software to integrate with internal back-end systemsPerform root cause analysis for production errorsInvestigate and resolve technical issuesDevelop scripts to automate visualizationDesign procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceFamiliarity with streaming platforms (real-time data at massive scale like Confluent Kafka). Experience with Azure cloud and implementations from a developer's perspectiveExperience working with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, or other container schedulers.Experience with Azure Front Door, WAF, Service Bus, Functions, VNET and Storage.Fluency with Azure Cosmos DB or any relational databases.Understanding of DevOps as well as experience with CI/CD pipelinesFamiliar with the project tools: Jira, Confluence, Slack, MS Office, SharePoint, Smartsheet.Thanks!
