This is a long-term contract opportunity for approximately 1-2 years to work onsite in Central Islip, NY and gain experience in the HR field.Schedule: 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through FridayCompensation: $25.00-$26.00/hrResponsibilities of the Human Resources Coordinator:Prepares and maintains employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, transfers and promotions.Explains company policies, benefits and procedures to new hires and employees.Organize files, general office administration to serve internal client groups and assist with office supplies.Coordinates employee engagement events.Presents the new hire orientation and handles all aspects of onboarding. Coordinates orientation scheduling.Meets with the candidate to complete new hire paperwork.Reviews Form I-9 documentation and processes E-Verify.Submits online background screening, drug testing and physicals for new employees, as necessary.Prepare badges and a job for new employees.Conducts exit interviews and processes exit paperwork.Processes human resources documentation for new recruits, including I-9 compliance.May review employment applications/resumes and interview applicants.Assists in preparation of orientation and/or training documentation.Conducts follow up exit interviews.Completes special assignments and projects as requiredRequirementsBachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability and confidence to collaborate with all levels of the organization.Ability to be organized, flexible and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to work with all levels of an organization and manage effectively.Solid understanding of Human Resources' functions and requirements.Ability to deal with and handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.Can prioritize effectively and have exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment.Has strong interpersonal and collaboration skills crucial for team-based working.Extreme attention to detail; ability to draft error-free documents in MS Word and maintain accurate spreadsheets in MS Excel.Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.Solid attention to detail in composing and proofreading documents, prioritizing, and achieving desired outcomes promptly.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Experience with Microsoft 365 (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.Coordinate staff activities, such as birthday celebrations, announcements, and training.Must be willing to work in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.Apply now to be considered for this Human Resources Coordinator role in Central Islip, NY
