If you're ready to learn more about this great opportunity, reach out to us today!ResponsibilitiesConduct legal researchUpdate and maintain internal databasesOrganize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendicesAid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requestsGather relevant information from a variety of sourcesLiaise between trial team and internal/external third partiesCommunicating with retained experts and preparing relevant materials for expert reviewHelp with voir dire, jury selection and witness preparationSubpoena medical, billing, and radiology records, employment records, workers compensation records, and other entitiesPrepare comprehensive medical chronologies and Howell analysisSummarize written discovery and document productionsConduct background checks, social media investigations, litigation historyQualifications3+ years' recent experience in civil litigation - employment and/or wage and hour class action/PAGA experience requiredYou MUST be competent and proficient in the use of Word, Outlook, and One DriveYou MUST be able to navigate the web like MagellanYou must be able to handle working with several different databases of information and comfortable organizing dataThink on your feet and make smart decisionsYour ability to listen to what you are being told and ask follow-up questions is very importantAble to talk to people (employees, clients, visitors, salespeople, servers, the public, doctors, and people at the insurance company) in a manner that is polite, professional, well-spoken, and that puts them at easeYou need to be willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first timeStrong organizational skills and the ability to handle a high caseloadTrial preparation and trial support experience is requiredApplicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documents, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.ABA approved paralegal certificate or other relevant certificationNote:Please apply only if you have the requisite prior experience with insurance defense billingAnnual paralegal billable requirement is 1500Compensation$70,000 - $95,000 (DOE)
