Thompson Hine LLP, an Am Law 200 firm regularly recognized for our commitment to Innovation and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, is seeking a Personal Succession Planning (Estate Planning) Legal Assistant in our Cleveland, Ohio office. This Legal Assistant will provide administrative and legal support to multiple Personal Succession Planning (PSP) attorneys.Responsibilities include but are not limited to drafting correspondence, memoranda, and estate planning documents, heavy proofreading, maintaining organized client files, time entry and expense reimbursements (Aderant), assisting with the client billing process (proofread, edit, mail, etc.), and working closely with other staff and departments as necessary.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:At least ten (10) years of legal assistant experience. Experience in Personal Succession/Estate Planning or Probate is a plus.Outstanding software skills, including proficient or advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF (Kofax), and Outlook.Exceptional writing and proofreading skills.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.High school diploma or equivalent is required.Applicants must possess strong attention to detail and time management skills. Individuals must also have excellent customer service skills, be team-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities. Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships while working in a team environment are critical to being successful in this role.
