Pipe Welder

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a leading custom design-build contractor specializing in industrial refrigeration systems. We handle design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service all in-house. We are currently seeking an experienced pipe welder welder for a nationwide traveling role. This individual will perform weld preparation, welding, and finishing operations according to customer drawings, specifications, or other instructions. Significant opportunities for advancement are available. This pipe welder position requires extensive travel.Expected Pay$35+/hrExperience Required: 5+ YearsPer Diem: $65/night (double occupancy)Lodging: Fully PaidTravel: Fully PaidKey Responsibilities:Weld pipe ranging from 3/4" to 18" (most pipe welding is on 2" to 6" pipe)Perform pipe welding on critical components such as compressors, vessels, evaporators, oil separators, condensers, and other pre-fab elementsCutting, beveling, and fitting pipe; extensive pipe fitting is expected in this combo welder roleIndependently set up and position piping for welding operationsComplete open root welding (no insert)Weld up to 50 diameter inches per dayAssist jobsite teams with insulation, electrical, and painting as neededPerform load rigging, torch cutting, leveling, and use of measurement toolsOperate grinders and wire wheelsOther duties as required on the job siteRequirements:Must pass a 6G weld test prior to employment (tested on 2" schedule 80 steel stick 60/10 root, 70/18 cap)Extensive travel required (typical tour: 10 days from Tuesday of the 1st week to Thursday of the 2nd week, working 10-12 hour days)Valid driver's license required; ability to drive up to 10 hours and operate industrial liftsExperience in high-pressure pipe, steam line, gas line, process pipe welding, or similar relevant pipe work is essential for this combo welder positionPre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and driving record check required (candidates with a DUI in the last 5 years are not eligible)This is a safety-sensitive position requiring ongoing drug testingBenefits:Retirement plan with 15% dollar-for-dollar company matchHealth insurance; company covers 75% of premiums for employees and familiesDental and vision insuranceWeekly payCompetitive vacation, holiday pay, and floating holidaysSupplemental insurance (Aflac)Short-term and long-term disability coverageAccidental death and dismemberment coverage after one yearLife insurance after one yearEmployee referral incentivesOpportunities for advancement, professional development, and trainingDiscounts on cell phone plans, rental vehicles, and more for eligible positionsThis is a great opportunity for a pipe welder looking for challenging work and a path for career growth.
