Commercial Real Estate ParalegalWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial real estate transactions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review legal documents, correspondence, and closing binders to assist with commercial real estate transactions, including leases, purchases, sales, and financing.Coordinate title matters with title insurance companies and law firms from pre-closing to post-closing stages.Oversee and manage due diligence for sales, acquisitions, and commercial loans.Assist with commercial landlord-tenant issues.Conduct local governmental inquiries and lien searches.Form legal entities related to real estate acquisitions.Establish and organize files, monitor deadlines, and input information into file databases.Prepare summaries of key terms and critical dates for real property acquisitions.Assist attorneys in drafting leases, contracts, and correspondence.Coordinate discovery responses with outside counsel.Manage litigation calendars for mediations, discovery, and court hearings.Administer third-party claims, including initial review, internal communications, and coordination with insurers.Process invoices for outside counsel fees and litigation costs.Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, mailing, filing, and more.Minimum Requirements:2+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably in commercial real estate (retail sector or property management experience preferred).Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and spelling (writing sample may be requested).Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Highly organized and results-oriented, with experience working in a multi-functional team environment.Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience as outlined above.Bilingual in English and Spanish.License, certification, or degree in Paralegal, Real Estate Sales, Property Management, or a related field.Experience in claims administration or contract administration.EOCAscendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.Ascendo is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, parental status, military service or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law
