Maintenance Technician

POSITION TITLE: 1st Shift Maintenance Technician Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing, manufacturing, and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect, ranging from flameless ration heaters that give our U.S. Military a hot meal; innovative chemical response kits designed to detect and decontaminate chemical warfare agents; to nutritious hot food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of production equipment, working both with and without drawings and specs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Installs new equipment/machinery as requiredDiagnoses problems with existing equipment/machinery including: performs both mechanical and electrical repairs on all equipment.machinery using blueprints, schematics, diagrams, etc.Performs all fabrication, electrical repairs, including installation and service of single phase and 480 volt - 3-phase electricMaintains and repairs all plant and office facilities in an efficient and safe mannerPerforms monthly P.M.S.Responsible for reporting material and parts usage for the department; reports all new parts requestsFollows all Company safety procedures, safe work, and good housekeeping practicesParticipates in and supports the Company's Continuous Improvement programsReplace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications or give recommendations to supervisor on repair requirementsThis position description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
