Legal Assistant Paralegal

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hybrid Legal Assistant/Paralegal in Nashville, TN to support our clients litigation and transactional attorneys in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil defense litigation, although they are open to candidates with strong transferable skills, especially in transactional work. If you're detail-oriented, highly organized, and motivated to stay busy in a growing firm, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Provide support to both litigation and transactional attorneys across multiple practice areas.Assist with case management, document drafting, legal research, and general administrative support.Work with attorneys in the firm's core practice areas, including civil litigation, commercial transactions, estate and business planning, tax planning and controversy, estate administration, fiduciary litigation, legal malpractice defense, real estate, and Rule 31 mediations.Manage client files, ensure deadlines are met, and keep attorneys updated on case progress.Perform legal research and assist with preparing documents for filings, including discovery responses, motions, and other legal correspondence.Assist in transitioning paralegal responsibilities as we look to expand and bill out paralegal work in the future.Required Qualifications:Significant experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, with a preference for candidates with a civil defense litigation background.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Smart, detail-oriented, and proactive in keeping busy.A background in transactional work is a plus, as it will be easier to teach the right candidate.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work setting.Preferred Qualifications:Paralegal certification or relevant legal assistant experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Prior experience working in any of the firm's practice areas will be considered an asset.If you are an experienced legal professional with a strong background in civil defense litigation or transactional law, we encourage you to apply!
