Job DescriptionPosition: Commercial Litigation ParalegalLocation: Brooklyn, NYType: Full TimeRate: $55k to $75k/Per AnnumSummary :We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in litigation support, document management, and client interaction. This role involves providing comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys and managing multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities :Gather, organize, summarize, and index case documents and chronologies for fact/document-heavy litigation.Draft correspondence, routine pleadings, motions, disclosure requests, responses, and related legal documents in compliance with judicial procedures.Prepare and maintain documents and bundles (both hard copies and PDFs) for hearings and proceedings.Liaise directly with clients and third parties, particularly regarding document collection and management.Maintain and update shared drives and hard copy folders with key case documents.Schedule depositions and manage associated logistics.Handle incoming calls and messages for multiple attorneys while maintaining and updating calendars.QualificationsRequired Experience:Drafting legal documents, including discovery demands, PC requests, RJIs, motions, stipulations, subpoenas, notices, and post-judgment papers.Formatting briefs and preparing exhibit books.OCR document processing.Filing court documents, including e-filing in state and federal courts (NYSCEF and ECF).Tracking court dates and deadlines.Managing a high volume of cases with exceptional organizational skills.Technical Skills:Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, Westlaw, ProLaw, and timekeeping applications.Familiarity with formatting legal documents and preparing case materials.Knowledge, Skills, and AttributesMinimum of 5 years of paralegal experience (litigation preferred).Paralegal certificate preferred but not required.Excellent client service and problem-solving skills.Proactive, organized, and detail oriented.Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining composure.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff.Polished communication and presentation skills.
