We look for individuals who are driven, intellectually engaged, team oriented and have a real desire to make an impact.Responsibilities:A Day Porter is responsible for making sure your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times - especially between routine cleaning maintenance activities. They also ensure the building is safe for all occupants if any unexpected incidents arise, like slippery floors or broken glass. Discreetly and without intruding on the day-to-day activities in the building, a day porter will operate in the background to ensure everything is taken care of up to business standards.Keep lobbies cleanKeep common areas cleanKeep washrooms cleanRestock supplies in washrooms as necessaryPerform minor maintenance, such as replacing burnt out light bulbsClean and prepare kitchen, cafeteria, and/or break rooms (particularly before and after busy times)Clean and prepare conference rooms before VIP visitors and after meetingsPerform continuous touch-point cleaning to reduce the spread of illness by eliminating bacteria and germsRespond to spills and other cleaning emergenciesRemove or warn of safety hazards, such as objects in the way of pedestrians or wet floorsRemove litter and debris from entrances and parking lotsSuperintendent coverage as neededmust be able to lift 100 poundsrelocation of furnitureQualifications:3 years minimumSalary: $35,000 - $40,000 MaxThe actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
