RICHLAND COUNTRY CLUBOne Club Drive, Nashville, TN 37215(615) 370-0030The Food and Beverage Restaurant Supervisor is an essential part of the operation & oversight of all front of house dining operations and oversees a staff of approximately eighty people in peak season. An affable personality with a flair for creativity, patience to coach and mentor, ability to support & care for others, and a keen eye for detail are all required qualities.· The Club's formal dining room seats eighty guests and includes a large outdoor dining area that seats an additional one hundred people. The service & food is the finest in Nashville. Our second dining room is a comfortable home for families and casual diners alike, serving a very accessible modern casual menu. The third dining outlet is a seasonal pool grille, with a resort vibe and elevated casual food & service. It is the heartbeat of the summer scene.· In addition to our dining operation, Richland hosts a varied schedule of elaborate social events year-round. A passion for the fun and exciting (but sometimes laborious) opportunities to execute and manage a variety of unique events will ensure you will thrive in this role.What does a day in the life of Richland's Food and Beverage Restaurant Supervisor look like?While each day will be different, the perfect candidate will inspect the dining rooms for any items that may be out of place and is able to communicate clearly and concisely to staff any changes that need to be made. They are able to assess the presentation of staff by monitoring appearance, enforce upkeep, and monitor employee dress codes. The Food and Beverage Restaurant Supervisor has the day's specials, events, and staff training topics ready to present to staff and supervisory team on a daily basis and helps plan and approve the staffing and scheduling plans for the day. They also have the department's long term staffing needs in mind and can monitor employee records to minimize overtime and keep labor costs within budget. The Food and Beverage Restaurant Supervisor also helps to work alongside staff to ensure a phenomenal Membership Experience by actively enforcing all policy and procedure guidelines while maintaining a calm, pleasant, and mentoring demeanor to all staff members. The perfect candidate must possess a "One Team, One Goal" attitude.The Food and Beverage Restaurant Supervisor understands the multi-outlet side of the Country Club operation and doesn't limit themselves to just the dining rooms. They also provide support and guidance to fellow teammates in Banquets, the Pool Grille, and other Outdoor Areas when directed by the Director of Food and Beverage. With the knowledge gained from different parts of the Food and Beverage umbrella, they can effectively train, supervise, and assist in recruitment and termination of food and beverage staff. They can also approve menu items, pricing, and menu design for all food and beverage outlets, and special Club Events.A guest check analysis, tip report, ticket contrails and daily sales reports are sent to the Food and Beverage Director. The Food and Beverage Restaurant Supervisor also ensures that accurate reservation systems are in place and makes note of any scheduling changes for the following day. They also take time to help plan and approve external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the department's outlets and special Club Events, and even research new products while evaluating their cost and profit benefits.
