The Lead Medical Assistant is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of patient care while managing clinical, medical, and administrative tasks in a clinical setting. Dermatology experience is required.Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.Responsibilities:Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care offered to patients and respective providers.Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, ensuring seamless in-person and virtual patient care.Support virtual dermatology consultations by managing patient intake, documentation, and follow-ups.Assist doctors with recording treatment plans, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and/or procedures within established guidelines.Prepare exam rooms before and after patients, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order at the beginning of each shift.Schedule and manage patient appointments, perform pre-visit registration, and verify insurance eligibility.Assist the doctors with dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and cosmetic treatments.Perform inventory responsibilities, restocking supplies and equipment as needed.Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and practice policies.Train, mentor, and support medical assistants in clinical and administrative tasks.Manage the medical assistant schedule, assist with finding coverage for shifts should there be a call out, emergency, or PTO taken; assist with covering shifts for emergency needs.Qualifications:3+ years of experience in a multi-physician dermatology practice.Certified Medical Assistant preferred.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.Excellent patient relation and customer service skills.Open availability to work during weekdays and some weekends.Benefits:Be part of an innovative, virtual-first healthcare company shaping the future of specialty medicine.Opportunity to work with top-tier dermatologists, finance, and engineers to expand access and optimize dermatology care.Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.Positive work culture with the tools and support needed for success and career growth.
