This role is crucial for the successful execution of our managed service projects, requiring both technical expertise and excellent client-facing skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with the project management team to ensure smooth deployment of IT infrastructure while maintaining high client satisfaction. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while following established project methodologies.DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Implementation:Install and configure hardware, including servers, workstations, networking equipment, and other IT infrastructure components according to project specifications and timelinesDeploy software solutions, including operating systems, business applications, and security tools while adhering to client security policies and compliance requirementsPerform network installations, including structured cabling, switches, routers, and wireless access points following industry best practicesCoordinate with vendors and third-party contractors when necessary for complex implementationsMigrate data between various cloud and on premises systems, including but not limited to M365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive), Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs), On Prem Exchange, Kerio, Rackspace, GoDaddy, etcTechnical Support:Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project deployment with minimal escalationProvide on-site and remote support as needed during and after project completion, ensuring knowledge transfer to the client's teamCollaborate with the Service Desk for escalated issues and maintain clear communication channelsParticipate in project planning meetings to provide technical insight and implementation strategiesClient Interaction:Provide training and documentation to end-users on new systems and solutionsCommunicate project progress and address client concerns professionally and proactivelyServe as a technical liaison between the project management team and client stakeholdersMaintain professional appearance and demeanor as a representative of our organizationDocumentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and change management recordsDocument completed project tasks in our PSA system and ensure proper handover to client and service desk teamProvide daily progress updates to the project manager and flag any potential risks or delaysCreate and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for common deployment scenariosSubmit detailed time entries and expense reports for accurate project trackingWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOREducation:High school diploma or equivalent required.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.Experience:5+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role, preferably within an MSP environment.Hands-on experience with hardware installations, networking, and troubleshooting.Skills:Advanced proficiency in Windows Server and Desktop OS (Windows 10/11)Working knowledge of Mac OS X and Linux environmentsStrong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs)Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirementsExperience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) toolsKnowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutionsPhysical networking experience is a plus.Soft Skills:Excellent project coordination and time management abilitiesStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsOutstanding written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesFlexible and adaptable to changing project requirementsTeam player with the ability to work independentlyCertifications (Preferred):CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certificationMicrosoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalentWork Environment and Physical Requirements:Willingness to travel to client locations within the five boroughs.Will work from office in Midtown Manhattan.Ability to work in diverse environments, including data centers, offices, and industrial sites.Ability to work flexible hours and occasional weekends during project implementationsComfortable working in confined spaces and using ladders when necessaryMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.TO APPLY:ONLY applications emailing DT will be considered.
