HICO is an ISO 9001 and 14001 certified company, specializing in power system products.SummaryThe Learning and Development (L&D) Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting HICO America's commitment to employee growth and continuous improvement. This role focuses on delivering high-quality training programs that enhance individual and organizational performance, support career development, and foster employee engagement. The L&D Coordinator will work closely with department leaders to ensure that training programs are effective, engaging, and aligned with the company's business objectives.The Essential Functions of the Position Include, But Are Not Limited To the Following:Training Program CoordinationDevelop and coordinate the execution of training programs that enhance employees' skills and professional development.Support the administration and logistics of L&D programs, including scheduling sessions, preparing materials, and ensuring all required resources are available.Collaborate with department leaders to identify skill gaps and training needs within teams.Maintain and update training records, tracking completion rates and training effectiveness.Learning & Development StrategySupport the implementation and monitoring of the company's Learning and Development strategy in alignment with business goals.Assist in creating learning materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and other resources.Provide support for performance management and leadership development initiatives to prepare employees for growth opportunities within HICO.Employee Engagement & DevelopmentHelp foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth by promoting available training resources and opportunities.Assist with the planning and implementation of mentorship, coaching, and internal development programs.Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement.Talent DevelopmentCollaborate with HR and department heads to develop career development plans and support employee learning pathways.Help identify high-potential employees and support their development through tailored training programs.Assist in onboarding programs, ensuring new hires have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.Other Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To the Following:Participate in the administration and upkeep of the Learning Management System (LMS).Assist with the creation of development plans for employees at all levels, providing guidance on career progression and skills development.Stay current on best practices in L&D, including trends in learning technologies, methods, and instructional design.Education/Special Skills/Experience/Training:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent education and experience.1-3 years of experience in learning and development or training coordination.Knowledge of instructional design, training techniques, and adult learning principles.Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online training platforms.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant software tools.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.Physical/Mental Characteristics of the Position and Environmental Factors of the Workplace:Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.Position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.Ability to use PC and office equipment.Ability to effectively communicate with team members and management.Ability to prepare and present training materials to diverse audiences.In This Leader Directed Role, Your Initial Time Commitment Will Be As Follows:0%-25% Strategy (What): Defining training objectives and key outcomes in alignment with organizational goals.25%-50% Operations (How): Developing and implementing strategies for achieving training goals.50%-75% Tactics (Doing): Hands-on execution of training sessions and ongoing program evaluations.BenefitsCompetitive compensation packagePaid healthcareMatching 401kPerformance bonusCompany lunches and outingsFree parkingHICO America provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
