The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys by managing and assisting with various aspects of construction and business commercial litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of law firm experience and a solid understanding of litigation processes, with specific expertise in construction and business commercial cases.Key Responsibilities:Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by managing case files, drafting pleadings, and organizing discovery documents.Coordinate and assist with all phases of the litigation process, including pre-litigation, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.Draft, proofread, and file various legal documents, including complaints, motions, responses, discovery requests, subpoenas, and pleadings related to construction and commercial business disputes.Manage and organize case files, maintaining electronic and paper documentation.Conduct legal research, prepare case summaries, and gather relevant case law for attorneys.Assist with drafting and responding to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.Coordinate expert witness retention, communication, and preparation for trial.Review and organize contracts, agreements, and construction project documentation relevant to disputes.Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other third parties.Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and presentations for hearings and trials.Ensure that all litigation deadlines are met and that case documentation is compliant with court rules and firm policies.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm environment.Experience with construction and business commercial litigation cases is required.Strong understanding of legal terminology, litigation processes, and court procedures.Ability to draft and prepare a wide range of legal documents, including motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to organize complex information clearly and concisely.Familiarity with document management and case management software.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and team members.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Paralegal certificate or relevant educational background is preferred.
