The Contract Administrator/Paralegal will be responsible for managing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients ensuring that all legal and operational terms are clear, fair, and aligned with company policies and industry standards. The role will be responsible for performing technical tasks, interacting with the customer, and providing data to the team to understand the status of the project, compliance and identify issues requiring resolution.Direct hire/permanent roleOnsite position - office is in Addison, TXPay: $35-40/hourMust have Paralegal experience, ideally with a Construction industry company at some pointContract Administrator/ParalegalESSTENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Review and negotiate contracts with clients.Identify key potential risks in contractual terms and work with senior leadership to develop strategies for mitigation.Maintain and organize an effective contract tracking system, ensuring that all deadlines, renewals, and amendments are met.Provide support in resolving any contractual negotiations and disputes, working with legal counsel as necessary.Draft and maintain standard templates and procedures for various types of contracts, ensuring they are up-to-date with current laws and best practices.Provide training and guidance to project teams on contractual matters, processes, and best practices.Prepare reports on contract statuses, compliance, and risk issues for senior leadership.Assist Project Accountants with finalizing contracts and setting up construction projects, including research, form preparation filing, calendaring and tracking the status of applications through the process.Assist with proposal management and tracking of deadlines and due dates.Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies by maintaining accurate records and documents.Manage compliance team to ensure all projects, deadlines and requirements have been met on-time and data submitted to business' General Contractors.Education:Paralegal Certificate or Associate's degree in a Paralegal Studies or other related field from an accredited program, or a Bachelors Degree in Legal Studies or other related field with relevant legal coursework.Experience may be considered in lieu of formal education for qualified candidates.Experience:Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal administrative role, with demonstrated expertise in legal research, document preparation, and case management.Experience in construction is required.Skills:Strong knowledge of legal terminology, legal procedures, and document formatting.Proficient in legal research.Strong technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)..Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with other internal departments, partners, legal professionals, clients, and other stakeholders.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.Preferred Qualifications:Paralegal certification from NALA or NFPA, or another nationally recognized legal organization is a plus.Prior experience in construction law is required.
