This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the firm's expansion while working on a national scaleWhile based in NYC, this position includes select travel and remote collaboration with teams across the U.S. If you have a strong background in business development within a law firm or professional services environment, this is your chance to play a key role in shaping the firm's future.What You'll Do:Develop Growth Strategies Identify and execute innovative strategies to expand the firm's client base and market presence, with a particular focus on the NY/NJ region.Build & Strengthen Client Relationships Foster lasting connections with attorneys and key clients, conducting needs assessments to align firm services with their evolving demands.Market Research & Competitive Analysis Stay ahead of industry trends, providing strategic insights and recommendations to leadership.Craft Winning Proposals & Pitches Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing materials that attract and retain top-tier clients.Expand Industry Presence Represent the firm at high-profile conferences, seminars, and networking events to enhance visibility and build valuable relationships.Collaborate Across Teams Work closely with attorneys, practice groups, and marketing teams to align business development efforts with the firm's broader strategic goals.Track & Optimize Performance Monitor business development activities, analyze ROI, and refine strategies for continuous improvement.What We're Looking For:Experience: 8+ years in business development, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related field (MBA or JD is a plus).Skills & Expertise:Strong understanding of the legal industry and market dynamics.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Proficiency in market research, strategic planning, and data analysis.Ability to manage multiple initiatives while meeting deadlines.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently and in teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.Why You Should Apply:This firm is committed to fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking environment where business development professionals can thrive.
