Summary: Position leads the entire maintenance function of the plant that includes but not limited to managing the maintenance of plant's equipment, building and structures. Should have general electrical knowledge, be familiar with fillers, capers, labelers, boilers, compressors and mixers. Provides full support of capital projects, leads ordering and controlling inventories of spare parts. This is a hands-on position requiring coordination and execution of quality, food safety, and occupational safety policies and procedures with other departments (production, QA and warehouse). Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor.Accountabilities:Works with supervisor in development, implementation and revision of equipment preventative maintenance program.Performs himself and delegates to others required maintenance activities/tasks.Coordinates, schedules and ensures execution of services provided by vendors, maintenance work orders, PM program activities and implementation of capital projects.Daily, reviews and verifies maintenance logs, PM documents develops action item list, assigns and distributes tasks to him/herself and other team members.Responsible for parts inventory.Ensures smooth start up by providing training to operators, troubleshooting equipment related issues.Conducts meetings within the maintenance department and provides necessary input during cross departmental meetings.Assists during performance reviews, recognition, motivation and coaching activities of team members.Responsible for maintaining the maintenance area in well-organized good sanitary condition.Actively participates in team building and continues improvement activitiesLeads other projects assigned by management.Requirements:Five years of experience, field knowledge or education of the level of Electro Mechanic job requirements.Trade School diploma or certifications are a plus.Strong planning, organizational and time management skills.Must be able to communicate in English.
