Lead Payroll Specialist ONSITE

Key RolesThis position performs and leads activities necessary to achieve accurate, timely, and confidential completion of biweekly payroll in accordance with GAAP, RUS, IRS regulations, and EKPC policies and procedures. In addition, the position maintains related records, coordinates the payroll calendar, balances payroll related accounts monthly, documents and updates procedures, mentors less experienced staff, and provides ad hoc reports to the organization and external entities. The position prepares all monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll related tax filings and IRS Form W-2s for the organization.Key RequirementsExperience:Payroll Specialist: Five (5) years of related experience.Lead Payroll Specialist: Seven (7) years of related experience.Skills and Abilities:· Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations affecting payroll functions.· Strong knowledge of taxable benefits.· General knowledge of accounting.Proficient in use of ERP payroll and time and labor module, PeopleSoft preferred.· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.· Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization including external contacts.
