Audiovisual Engineer

Looking for an experienced pre-sales AV engineer to support our Winston-Salem branch. Must be familiar with Extron, Crestron, Biamp, QSC, MTR, Zoom rooms. AutoCAD proficient a plus. creation of one-line drawingsbasic floorplans and elevationsCreate full BOMEstimate laborPosition can work remote but must be close enough to drive to Winston-Salem for customer meetings and site walks. Pre-sales EngineeringPrimary role is in the development and delivery of responses to customer Request for Proposals (RFPs), solution proposals, sales quotations, contract Statements of Work (SOW), and the development of engineering Bills of Material (BOMs) for engineering and design of A/V, VTC, infrastructure and security systems.Attend customer meetings as required to gather and compile customer requirements (e.g. huddle rooms, projector requirements, VTC requirements, etc.). Document customer requirements and file in a central repository. Attend site surveys as directed by Engineering and/or Sales to gather and compile installation requirements (e.g. wall types, conveyance requirements, ceiling heights, etc.). Some site surveys may require travel and overnight stays at customer sites.Conducts and reviews site surveys, designs customer solutions based on requirements, estimating, and producing documentation suitable for sales presentations and system installation, and control system programming SOWs & BOMs.RequirementsHigh school diploma required, Associate's degree or higher preferred5+ years of experience with A/V and low voltage systems installation and implementation required,5+ years of experience with site surveys, creation of system integration documents, estimating and documentation strongly preferredAvixa/InfoComm CTS strongly preferred, CTS-D or CTS-I certifications a plus. Must be willing to pursue additional training.Knowledge of and/or certification with: Extron, Crestron, Bi-Amp, QSC, Cisco, MTR, Poly strongly preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills.Possess a valid driver's license.Pass a drug and background check
