Job Overview:The Commercial Roofing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely completion. This role involves coordinating crews, materials, and schedules while maintaining strong communication with clients, project managers, and subcontractors.Key Responsibilities:Project Supervision: Oversee day-to-day roofing operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.Crew Management: Supervise, train, and support roofing crews, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies, conducting regular safety meetings and site inspections.Material Coordination: Ensure materials and equipment are ordered, delivered, and utilized efficiently.Scheduling & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to schedule labor and resources effectively.Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications, building codes, and company standards.Problem-Solving: Address on-site issues, such as weather delays, crew concerns, or material shortages, to keep projects on track.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, daily reports, and job site conditions.Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.Qualifications & Skills:Experience: 5+ years of commercial roofing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Bilingual (English & Spanish)Knowledge: Strong understanding of various roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR, metal, etc.), blueprints, and safety regulations.Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate crews while maintaining a productive work environment.Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues on-site.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with crews, clients, and project managers.Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and manufacturer-specific roofing certifications.Work Environment:Work is primarily outdoors on construction sites, requiring physical activity, climbing ladders, and working at heights.May involve travel to multiple job sites.
