This position will work closely with Operations and Purchasing to perform preventive and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.Job OverviewThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for set-up, maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment, under minimal supervision. This role will require technical expertise ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations. You will be expected to adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including complying with OSHA, ISO, and related company policies and practices. The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or coordinate with the appropriate supplier, any issues that arise. Issues may include, and are not limited to; robotic, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. Additionally you will have the ability lead and mentor teammates.Company will provide equipment specific training as needed.Daily Activity•Work with managers, appropriate team members, and suppliers to discuss and resolve any equipment maintenance problems•Set up fixtures/tooling for secondary operations including resistance welders, robotic welders, assembly machines, small presses, and more•Preventative maintenance•Reactive maintenance•Work with Purchasing to request external parts and services as needed•Notify management concerning need for major repairs•Maintain service records of all machinery and equipment•Some machining, welding, and operating as needed•Operate a variety of hand and power tools; wrenches, ratchets, hammers, chisels, pry-bars, grinders, saws, drills, impact wrench, etc.•Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions, including the storage and disposal of chemical products•Maintain current maintenance software and be involved in the transition to PLEX ERPRequirements•Must have your own tools•Helpful experience includes: RoboticsMechanical and hydraulic pressesConveyorsSmart PAC systemsPLC and/or electrical control systemsWeldingSprayer systemsERP systems (ideally PLEX)Fanuc controls•Ability toRead and interpret blue prints and schematicsUse calipers and measuring toolsUse logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems and highly resourceful with skills in problem-solving and critical thinkingIndependently prioritize and complete projects by deadlinesEffectively and respectfully interact with employees at all levels•Ambitious, positive and self-motivated•Basic computer/software skills•Ability to supervise and lead a team•Must have reliable transportation, good attendance and a good attitudePhysical RequirementsWhile performing this job, you will be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
