With a heritage of excellence, economy, and on-time delivery, Park Rug has been serving customers since 1922.Introduction: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Flooring Estimator to join our dynamic team. As an estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing, calculating, and providing accurate cost estimates for flooring projects in commercial spaces. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and contractors to ensure all flooring solutions meet the project requirements and budget constraints.Key Responsibilities:Project Estimation: Accurately assess project specifications, plans, and requirements to create precise cost estimates for commercial flooring projects.Material Selection: Assist clients with the selection of appropriate flooring materials, providing recommendations based on budget, aesthetics, and functionality.Cost Analysis: Analyze costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring the most cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.Preparation of Estimates & Proposals: Create detailed and accurate bid proposals, including material costs, labor charges, and timelines, tailored to the specific needs of each client.Client Communication: Work closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather all necessary information and keep them informed throughout the estimation and bidding process.Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with flooring suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, contracts, and project correspondence. Ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible.Collaboration: Collaborate with the project management team to ensure smooth project execution, from estimating to final installation.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating commercial flooring projects or related fields (e.g., construction, building materials).Knowledge: Strong knowledge of commercial flooring materials (carpet, vinyl, wood, tile, etc.), installation methods, and current industry standards.Technical Skills: Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, RFMS measure) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately measure, analyze data, and assess costs.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and the project team.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve challenges and discrepancies related to project scope, costs, or timelines.Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in working on large-scale commercial projects.Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and architectural plans.Certification in estimating or related fields (e.g., AACE, ASPE).Benefits:Competitive salary based on experienceHealth insurance and benefits packageProfessional development and training opportunitiesHow to Apply: Please submit your resume, along with a cover letter detailing your experience and qualifications related to commercial flooring estimation.
