Position: Reconstruction Estimator Location: Woodstock, GA Employment Type: Full-Time Reports to: Reconstruction Department Manager Position Summary:Welcome to your new role within an exciting, thriving and growing restoration company! The Reconstruction Estimator at Terminus is responsible for construction estimating, quantity take-offs, cost management, communication, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and restoration, with expertise in estimating costs for damage restoration and reconstruction projects. As a Restoration Reconstruction Estimator, you will be the face of the company for our customers while working closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to assess damage, prepare estimates, and ensure the successful execution of restoration projects.Key Responsibilities:· Conduct on-site assessments of properties affected by fire, water, storm, or other damage to evaluate the scope of work required for restoration or reconstruction.· Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for restoration and reconstruction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.· Review and interpret building plans, blueprints, and other technical documents to create precise estimates.· Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to gather project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.· Prepare and present clear, comprehensive estimates and proposals for clients, ensuring transparency and accuracy in all pricing information.· Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards when creating estimates and overseeing project execution.· Assist in negotiations with insurance adjusters, clients, and subcontractors to finalize scope and pricing details.· Track and monitor project costs and timelines, ensuring that the restoration process stays within budget and on schedule.Qualifications:· Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically in restoration and reconstruction.· Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques used in restoration projects.· Ability to assess damage and determine the scope of work required for restoration and reconstruction.· Proficient in Xactimate and Microsoft Office Suite.· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.· Effective communication and negotiation skills to work with clients, insurance adjusters, contractors, and project teams.· Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to restoration and reconstruction projects.· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.· A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.· Certification from a professional organization such as the IICRC is a plus.Work Environment:· This position involves both office work and fieldwork. The Reconstruction Estimator will visit sites affected by water and fire damage, which may include hazardous conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required on-site.Physical Requirements:· Ability to perform on-site inspections, including working in potentially hazardous conditions.· Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 30 pounds.Compensation:· Salary plus commission based on gross profit per job overseen · Benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and company retirement plan.· Company vehicle, gas card, credit card and laptop.
